Spaces of Love & Anarchy

The fresh short films seen in this screening curated by the Helsinki International Film Festival invite the viewer into a variety of cinematic spaces, where the moving image is not only a medium and stage both for remembering the past and interpreting history, but also for imagining and picturing the future. Through the films of the screening, a variety of spaces are
created for many kinds of emotions, communality, questioning the status quo and resistance.

 

Founded in 1988, the Helsinki International Film Festival – Love & Anarchy has been held annually in September ever since. The aim of Finland’s biggest film festival is to promote the diverse artistry of filmmaking alongside inventive and visually stunning new films.
