Our first work, Puuilofritsu, was filmed and premiered at the Puuilo store in Itäkeskus. While many are familiar with the phenomenon of Puuilofritsu, the term itself is unknown. We wanted to create the word and bring it to life. The work was carried out in a workshop-like manner—first written at the Puuilo in Itäkeskus, then filmed as a DIY music video, and finally premiered on-site, surrounded by opening night guests. RÄKÄlicious is a performatice lesbo punk duo featuring video artist Sandra Lola Dada and sound artist Mai Pesonen. In the core of RÄKÄlicious is do-it-yourself mentality and a bit crooked approach that emphasizes queerness. ‘Puuilofritsu’ is a wound or a bruise on the shoulder, caused by carrying too heavy tool purchases.
